Chances are you may already have your Christmas tree up and stockings have been hung by the chimney with care. In the hustle and bustle of decorating for the impending Holiday season it’s also important to remember some key points of Christmas tree safety in keeping your home safe.
According to the NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) One of every three home Christmas tree fires are caused by electrical failures. Although Christmas tree fires are not common, when they do occur, they are more likely to be serious. A heat source too close to the tree causes roughly one in every five of the fires.
